RESERVE — Pastor Steve Allen and members of Destiny Christian Center not only provided a catered lunch for teachers and staff of East St. John High School;, they also served them as a show of appreciation and a small taste of how much they mean to the community in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week. The special “thank you” lunch took place Thursday, May 11.

Teacher Appreciation Week is a national holiday celebrated in the United States the first full week of May as a reminder to show appreciation for teachers. “The teachers and faculty members in our schools are a very important part of the community. Their jobs have become increasingly more difficult as of late. So, we thought that this would be a great opportunity to thank them for the many roles they play in our kids’ lives,” said Pastor Steve Allen.
