St. John the Baptist Parish 4-H & St. John the Baptist Parish Libraries are partnering for an Edible Book Contest. As part of National Library Week, the contest aims to celebrate books, art, food, and culture. It’s open to all youth in grades K-12 that attend school and/or reside in St. John the Baptist Parish.
CONTEST RULES
The dessert must be made from edible materials.
Each edible creation must be a representation of a favorite fictional or non-fictional literary work. Edible books can look like a book in form and shape, be inspired by a book or author, be a pun of a book title, refer to a book character, reproduce a book cover, or have something to do with books in general.
All entries must be family-friendly. The judges reserve the right to reject any entries deemed inappropriate or offensive.
A photo of the book cover must accompany all entries.
AWARDS
Best in Show: This edible book has it all: creativity, polish, and flare.
Funniest/Punniest: The edible book entry will most likely put a smile on your face! Clever, humorous, or super-silly, it makes your stomach roar with laughter and rumbles with delight.
