Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office seeks Convent man and 1 other

According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Violent Crimes Unit are searching for Calvin Adams III of Convent and Kevin Ross Jr. of Monroe in relation to a shooting and armed robbery incident in Darrow. Both men will be charged with the following:
– Attempted first-degree murder
– Illegal use of weapons
– Armed Robbery
– Armed robbery with a firearm
– Second-degree kidnapping
– Criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity
On Monday, March 27 at approximately 9 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Galaxy Blvd. and Neptune Blvd in Darrow. Upon arrival, deputies found several shell casings and other evidence indicating a shooting occurred. Detectives assumed the investigation and learned that Ross and Adams orchestrated a targeted attack on a male subject; no injuries were reported.
