Overview:
WHAT: SLIGHT RISK of Severe Weather and MARGINAL RISK of flooding rainfall
WHEN: Now through late afternoon today
WHERE: Severe weather risk mainly along and south of a line from Tylertown to Baton Rouge and heavy rainfall risk for all areas
CONFIDENCE:

We are confident there will be showers and thunderstorms across these areas. However, there is low confidence with intensity of severe and moderate confidence in heavy rainfall.
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
Damaging Winds:

Wind gusts greater than 58 mph will be possible

Trees and powerlines could be damaged and lead to isolated/scattered power outages
Tornadoes:

Tornadoes are not the prime concern but one can’t be ruled out
