The Laplace Lions Club golf tournament scheduled for Friday has been washed out, but the St. Patrick’s Day celebration that same evening is still going on. The Lions will be celebrating all things Irish at Riverlands Country Club on Friday evening and everybody’s invited to join the fun from 6:00 to 9:00. There will be a band, dancing, food and drinks, plus drawings for a number of big-ticket prizes, Admission is $20. Wearing of the Green is encouraged.

Like the rain-delayed golf tournament, all of the revenue will go toward sending physically and mentally challenged children to the Lions Camp near Alexandria this summer.

The golf tournament has been moved to May 5.
