The River Parishes Alumnae Chapter has been preparing since November for a successful Read Across America Day. Members read to 2 kindergarten classes at West St. John Elementary. After reading, chapter members facilitated a craft activity that complimented the book, The Day the Crayons Quit. Each student was gifted a book to bring home to supplement the reading experience. Over 100 books, majority Black authors and protagonists, were donated towards their respective class libraries…oh the places you will go!!!!!
