Basketball Free Throw winners announced

Pictured are the winners of the Basketball Free Throw Contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Ascension of Our Lord Council 9623.
The District Free Throw Contest was sponsored by the Monsignor Dennis Bergeron Council 5935 on February 11. Winners will advance to the Diocesan level on February 25.

LAPLACE — The Knights of Columbus Ascension of Our Lord Council 9623 recently sponsored a Basketball Free Throw Contest.
Winners advanced to the District Basketball Contest on February 11 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic School Gymnasium in LaPlace.
Winners at the first level of the contest, pictured left to right, are, top row, Mike Abbate – AOL KCS, Council 9623, Grand Knight, Mia Dyson, bottom row, Kenton Hill, Mikaela Miguel, Isabella Chauvin, Felicity Louper, Aubrey Melancon and Mason Nicholas. The District Free Throw Contest was sponsored by the Monsignor Dennis Bergeron, Council 5935. These winners will now advance to the Diocesan Basketball Free Throw Contest scheduled for February 25.
It will be held at St. Peters Council 12906 Gymnasium, located at 125 East 19th Avenue in Covington. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the contest begins at 9 a.m.
