Shell LiveWIRE Louisiana Accelerator program open for applications

LAPLACE — Shell LiveWIRE, the flagship enterprise development program of Shell, is accepting applications through January 31, 2023.
The free program strengthens local economies across the globe by promoting entrepreneurship and developing entrepreneurs. Every year Shell LiveWIRE supports thousands of individuals to access the knowledge, skills, networks and resources to turn their business ideas into successful enterprises which provide a sustainable income, create jobs and drive innovation.
The 2023 cohort will consist of up to 25 participants and includes:
- Six virtual training sessions
- Access to business tools and subscriptions
- 1:1 business consultations
- Mentorship and coaching
- Media and digital promotion
- Cohort and expert networking events
- Special loan considerations with LiftFund for graduates
Applications close at the end of January, and applicant selections will be made by February 20, 2023. Applicants ages 18 and older are being accepted from the following parishes: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary and Terrebonne.
Mentorship and coaching will take place throughout the six-week program.
The Micro & Small Business Accelerator launches March 6 with six modules and a virtual delivery, once per week in the evening. It will also include office hours with LiftFund and at-home assignments.
A graduation showcase is scheduled for April 29, hosted by Shell at Jazz Fest.
