Killona man arrested for beating a man with a pipe

LULING — St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne announces the arrest of Craig G. Lee, a 43-year-old Killona resident, for Aggravated Second Degree Battery.
On Saturday, November 12, 2022, just before 11:30 P.M., deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the St. Charles Parish Hospital in reference to a male beaten with a pipe. The victim advised the incident occurred on South Kinler Street near Park Avenue in Boutte.
The victim was involved in a verbal altercation with Craig Lee that turned physical when Lee grabbed a pipe and struck him with it. The victim fell to the ground and Lee continued to hit him with the pipe. Eventually, the victim was able to get up, walk away, and find a ride to the hospital.
Through investigation, detectives found sufficient probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Craig G. Lee for Aggravated Second Degree Battery.
On Thursday, December 1, 2022, while conducting a wanted person check in the 500 block of Willowdale Boulevard in Luling, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office encountered Craig Lee, and he was arrested.
Craig G Lee is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center, awaiting a 72-hour bond hearing.
