The finishing touches were put the L’OBSERVATEUR Holiday Cookbook and it has gone press. It is the first one published since 2020. The exact date is to be determined, but barring no freak winter storms or any other challenge, such as those we have come know over the last few years, it should be in the December 7 edition. The cookbook will be on full color,  glossy paper with recipes that we can’t wait to make.

  In conjunction with cookbook, L’OBSERVATEUR is hosting a recipe/photo contest. We are accepting entries of recipes and also holiday photos. Photos can be decorations, visits with Santa, tacky sweaters, bonfires etc. 

  The platform is online at www.lobservateur.com/contests and entries will be accepted until December 4. Beginning December 5 until December 19, readers can vote for their favorites and the winners will be awarded prizes. 

  There will be a prize for the recipe with the most votes, photo with the most votes and just for voting, readers will be entered into a random drawing to also win a prize. Winning entries will also appear in a future edition of River Parishes Magazine.

 Submissions may also be sent to 116 Newspaper Dr, LaPlace, Louisiana 70068.
