St James Parish EOC is on scene with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office at LA 642. LA 642 is closed indefinitely due to a train derailment with an acid leak. River Road is blocked from Antioch St to Dr. Reverend Samuel Jones (the Old Ben Lane). LA 642 headed to the Mississippi River is blocked at Highway 3125. Residents in the immediate area have been evacuated.
