Breedy graduates from Homeland Security Leadership Academy

GLYNCO, Georgia — Sheriff Greg Champagne is proud to report Captain George Breedy of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office graduated from the 14th Session of the Department of Homeland Security Leadership Academy (DHSLA).
It was held at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers located in Glynco, Georgia, from September 12 – 22, 2022. DHSLA is a two-week immersive leadership program that brings together senior law enforcement executives and command-level staff of federal, state, local, tribal and territorial law enforcement from across the nation. DHSLA attendees learn from subject matter experts in the areas of leading through crisis, resiliency, diversity and other contemporary law enforcement topics.
Participants also work closely in groups to discuss and develop proposed solutions to common challenges facing law enforcement.
There were 29 graduates of Session 14 of the DHSLA from twenty states and three
territories (Guam, Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands).
