Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I believe that one of the many blessings God gives us is the people we meet on our journey to eternity. Jerry and Pat Kleive are two such people who have enriched my life.

I met them two years ago at PJ’s Coffee Shop.  In the course of our conversation, I shared about a weekly men’s Bible meeting that I attend and invited him to come.  He showed up the following week and has been a regular over the past year.

Jerry’s life has been interesting; in fact, he wrote a book titled “As I See It”.  He was a Navy Seal for five years while serving our country.  He and Pat have been married 55 years, have four children, and have lived in LaPlace for 30+ years.  They have lived in many different places, but chose to make LaPlace their home and love living here.

After our last Friday’s meeting, I asked Jerry if he and Pat would allow Jeanne and I to take them to Middendorf’s for lunch Saturday and they accepted.  I believe you can know people well, but breaking bread with them really seals a godly relationship.  It was evident that Pat loves and respects her husband as her soul mate.  He has been a good husband and a positive example as a father and grandfather.

Getting to know Jerry and Pat have been a blessing. I told Jeanne when we got home that God must love us a lot to have put them in our lives.
