LAPLACE — Two Knights of Columbus councils in St. John the Baptist Parish received prestigious awards during a recent Leadership Seminar in Prairieville.
On Saturday, July 16, 2022, the Knights of Columbus, Ascension of Our Lord Council 9623 was presented the Louisiana State Deputy Award.
This State Deputy Award is presented to the Knights of Columbus Council that goes above and beyond in completing programs such as community projects, faith projects, family projects, life projects and membership growth.
State Deputy Martin also presented the State Deputy’s Award to the Msgr. Eyraud Council 2436 of Reserve for its membership growth, activities and programs and participation.
Out of 272 councils in the state, Msgr. Eyraud Council 2436 was the only one to qualify for the Bishop Greco Award for 2021-2022. Presented at the Knights of Columbus Leadership Conference on July 16, the Bishop Greco Award represents over the 100% quota donation to the Youth Expansion Program for the past 10 years.
