Norco native becomes editor-in-chief of the Current Sauce

NATCHITOCHES – Norco native Lora Leigh Luquet has been named the editor-in-chief of the Current Sauce, the student-led newspaper of Northwestern State University, for the 2022-2023 school year. Luquet is a senior majoring in communication. She previously worked as the copy editor and the arts and living section editor. She also has had bylines published in L’OBSERVATEUR and Geaux Girl magazine.
The editor-in-chief is selected annually by a panel of university students and faculty from a pool of applicants.
Luquet graduated magna cum laude from Destrehan High School in 2019. She is an honor student at NSU, most recently earning a spot on the dean’s list after maintaining a 4.0 grade point average in the Spring of 2022.
In addition to her duties on the Current Sauce, Luquet is a member of the Northwestern State University women’s choir and the Cane River Singers choir.
She is the daughter of Marty Luquet and Lori Lyons of Norco.
