Man rebooked for St. Rose murder

Update on the May 20th St. Rose homicide of Morlon Lloyd Vinnett.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022 Todd Adams was rebooked at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center and charged with Louisiana Revised Statute 14:30.1 relative to Second Degree Murder.
Throughout the ongoing investigation, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives have interviewed countless witnesses, reviewed surveillance video, and made every effort to piece together the sequence of events that led to the murder of Morlon Vinnett, a 50-year-old resident of St. Rose, Louisiana.
After reviewing the facts, statements, and other evidence collected during the investigation, sufficient probable cause was obtained allowing Detectives to secure an arrest warrant in the 29th Judicial District Court for one count of Second Degree Murder stemming from Todd Adams’ actions during the May 20th shooting.
The suspect, Todd Adams, a 45-year-old resident of St. Rose, is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center awaiting a new bond hearing for his updated criminal charge.
