St. Charles Parish Department of Community Services to Serve Free Summer Meals

Hahnville, La. – St. Charles Parish children under 18 years of age and individuals with special needs who attend a state-accredited school are invited to join the Department of Community Services for lunch and fun activities through its free summer food service program.
The program will be held Monday through Thursday from June 6 to July 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Albert Cammon Middle School in St. Rose and G.W. Carver Early Learning Center in Hahnville.
Those interested in this program must attend a state-accredited school. Free bus transportation to both sites will be available. No fees and registration are necessary.
Sponsored by the United Way of St. Charles, the Summer Food Service Program has been feeding children for 32 years. In 2021, the Department of Community Services provided nearly 3,500 hot meals.
