Reserve man arrested for theft of parish equipment

Jessi Dwain Bryant, 38, of Reserve was arrested May 14, 2022 for theft of parish equipment.
On Thursday April 28, 2022, patrol officers responded to a report of a theft of a catalytic converter from a parish truck at Regala Park in Reserve.
Based on investigation and review of video surveillance, officers developed Bryant as a suspect. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and charged Bryant with theft – $1,000-$5,000 (felony).
He was released May 14, 2022 on a $5,000 bond. Since 2001, Bryant has been arrested on theft charges 25 times in St. John Parish.
Sheriff Mike Tregre said the uniformed patrol division worked diligently to apprehend this subject.
“I commend these officers for their excellent police work, professionalism and commitment to this investigation, which led to the arrest of Mr. Bryant,” Sheriff Tregre said.
