LAPLACE — Southeastern Grocers is now offering rapid testing for COVID-19 in all Winn-Dixie pharmacies throughout the Southeast communities it serves. This new pharmacy offering will allow patients to conveniently self-administer a nasal swab test under the guidance of a pharmacist.

Patients receive certified testing results in 15 minutes or less through a secure email or text message and results are valid to present for travel or event attendance, such as concerts, sporting events or other gatherings. The grocer is offering a reduced price on testing during the month of May for $19.99 (regular price $24.99), and patients are asked to bring their ID card or driver’s license, and smartphone (if available) to their preferred pharmacy location for testing.

This expansion of clinical services further enhances patient experiences through a new partnership with Workflow Services by ImageMover, which provides technology solutions to streamline the grocer’s digital workflow, integrate medical data and simplify quality care protocols.

Online appointments and walk-ups for rapid COVID-19 are available for customers ages three and older in all Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie in-store pharmacies.

During the month of May, SEG is also inviting customers to purchase a new reusable community bag for $2.99 in all Winn-Dixie grocery locations to support for local animal rescues and shelters during National Pet Month.

SEG is partnering with nearly 400 animal shelters and rescues across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi for its Pet Month Community Bag program. For every community bag purchased, $1 will be directed to each store’s partner animal shelter organization.
