Fifteen St. Charles students graduate from The Get Real Program

St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, April 26th 2022, sixteen 7th and thirteen 8th graders at Albert Cammon Middle School in St. Rose graduated The Get Real Program.
The Get Real Program is part of The Believe in Youth, LA 2.0 Program. It is an evidence-based pregnancy prevention program offered through a partnership between the Institute of Women & Ethnic Studies, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, and St. Charles Parish Public Schools.
Students attended eight classes on valuable topics including abstinence, anatomy, boundaries, decision-making, healthy-unhealthy relationships, puberty, refusal skills, sexually transmitted infections/HIV transmission, and protection methods.
This program is sponsored by the Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies.
