LUTCHER — As a celebration of Older Americans’ Month, in May St. James Parish Hospital partners with the parish government to host a Senior Picnic and Health Fair which attracts health and wellness vendors to educate seniors. The hospital also offers several screenings free of charge. Additionally, seniors participate in fun activities and are treated to a catered lunch.

This year’s event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 at Lutcher Park.

Organizers are currently seeking health, wellness and lifestyle related vendors that can offer education and important information to our local senior citizens. The event attract close to 100 attendees and offers a fun-filled day of education, screenings and entertainment.

Vendors are asked to supply a tablecloth and are invited to bring a labeled door prize along with any educational information and promotional giveaways of their choice.
