St. James Parish Hospital releases updated post-hurricane repair information

St. James Parish Hospital is continuing work to complete post-hurricane repairs. Phase I repairs temporarily rerouted entry into the hospital’s Urgent Care and Therapy Center. Phase I repairs should be completed this week. Upon completion of Phase I repairs, the doors to the new entrance of the Medical Plaza addition will reopen and Urgent Care and Therapy Center patients can enter as usual.
Phase II repairs will begin on Monday, March 21st. Phase II repairs will temporarily close the original Medical Plaza Entrance and reroute patients visiting the hospital’s Family Practice and Specialty Clinics.
At the start of Phase II repairs, patients visiting the hospital’s Family Practice Clinics, Wound Care, Urologist, Ortho Clinics, ENT, Audiologist and/or Pain Specialist (Suites 1400 and 1500) will go right and enter through the new Medical Plaza/ Urgent Care Entrance.
Patients seeing Specialists in Suite 1200 (Cardiologists, Dermatologist, Oncologist and/or Gastroenterologist) will go left and enter the Medical Plaza through the glass doors under the breezeway/sidewalk.
In addition, COVID Vaccines are also being relocated back to Urgent Care. Walk-in vaccines and boosters are offered on Thursdays from 1pm to 5pm.
