UPDATE: I-310 construction set to continue through May

LULING, La. — Construction is progressing on southbound I-310 between LA 48 in Destrehan and LA 18 in Luling.

Currently, the right lane is closed while crews patch the concrete deck along the Hale Boggs Bridge. When patching is complete in the southbound right lane, work will move to the southbound left lane. After that, work will start on the northbound deck.

In all, roadwork will continue in this area through May, weather permitting.

Tentative schedule for lane closures:

January 23 – March 2 – Southbound Outside (Right) Lane Closure (5 weeks)

March 3 – March 21 – Southbound Inside (Left) Lane Closure (3 weeks)

March 21 – April 25 – Northbound Outside (Right) Lane Closure (5 weeks)

April 25 – May 16 – Northbound Inside (Left) Lane Closure (3 weeks)

Before construction shifts to other sections of the bridge, notices will be sent via MyDOTD. All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
