21-year-old dies from injuries in LaPlace shooting

Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday, February 11, 2022, about 4 a.m., at the intersection of Jasper Lane and Cartier Drive in LaPlace.
Through investigation, officers learned a 21-year-old male had been shot and was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital where he died from injuries sustained during the shooting.
Sheriff Mike Tregre said the shooting involving this victim is an isolated incident.
