SULPHUR — The SCC swim team recently competed at the State Meet in Sulphur at the SPAR Aquatic Center. The Girls Team placed third out of 24 teams and the Boys Team placed sixth out of 25 teams.

The following swimmers finished with All State times:

Bella Marix finished in third place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.69.

Girls 200-yard freestyle relay finished second with a time of 1:47.40. The relay included Hartley Faucheux, Juliana Portillo, Katherine Chapman and Mia Oncale.

The Girls 200-yard medley relay finished second overall with a time of 1:58.58. The relay included Aubrey Westbrook, Bella Marix, Hartley Faucheux and Mia Oncale.

Mia Oncale finished fourth in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle.

Bella Marix and Mia Oncale were invited to swim in the All-Star Meet at UNO on December 18. Their State times in the 100 breast and the 50 & 100 free, respectively, met the qualifications for All-Star.
