Wilmer – This morning, shortly after 08:30 A.M., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L began investigating a fatal crash on LA Hwy 1061 near Dummyline Road in Tangipahoa Parish. The crash claimed the life of 52-year-old David Diddon of Kentwood, Louisiana.

The initial investigation revealed that Diddon was southbound on LA  Hwy 1061 on a 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle. For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle traveled off of the roadway to the left and into an embankment. After leaving the roadway, Diddon was ejected from the motorcycle.

Despite the fact Diddon was wearing a DOT approved helmet, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. As part of the ongoing investigation, a blood sample was taken from Diddon for routine scientific analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
