COVID-19 vaccination and testing clinic scheduled for Monday, Sept. 13

RESERVE — A COVID-19 vaccination and rapid testing clinic will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13 at River Parishes Community College, located at 181 REGALA Park Road in Reserve.
Tetanus vaccinations will also be offered.
No appointment is needed, and there is no cost for vaccinations or rapid testing.
The Pfizer vaccine is offered to individuals ages 12 and older, while the Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Tetanus vaccines are offered only to adults ages 18 and older.
As of Sept. 11, St. John the Baptist Parish has recorded 5,433 cases of COVID-19 and 146 deaths since March 2020.
The number of cases recorded daily in St. John Parish increased through the month of July 2021 and reached a high of approximately 45 to 50 new cases per day during the month of August. There has been a decline in the number of cases reported daily within the parish since the end of August, when Hurricane Ida impacted the region.
