The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that I-10 will be closed in both directions just west of the LA 30 interchange beginning at 7 p.m. tonight. As the region continues to recover from Ida, this closure will allow electrical linemen to make repairs to the main power lines at this location.
Motorists traveling eastbound will be diverted to LA 73, while westbound traffic will be diverted to U.S. 61.
DOTD appreciates your patience and advises motorists to expect delays while crews work to repair the electrical lines.
Motorists can check www.511la.org or dial 511 to remain up-to-date on the latest closures. Out-of-state travelers can access the system by calling 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511).
