LAPLACE — The Cajun Navy is beginning to rescue residents who have been impacted by Hurricane Ida in LaPlace as soon as conditions allow.

The following information is needed and should be left on a voicemail if no one answers the call: Name, address, contact number, what is needed, how many individuals, how many pets, any special needs.
Rescues have been requested via social media on Revere Drive, Stayton Court, Oak Point Drive, Manchester Drive, Ibis Court, Cambridge Drive, LaPlace Park, Comerset St., Ellerslie, Welham Loop, Virginian Colony, Williamsburg, Essex, Moss Drive, Ridgewood, Palmetto, Fairway Drive, Yorktowne Drive, Tuscany Drive, Devon Road, Warwick, Derek Lane, Revere Drive. This is not a complete list of areas impacted.
