LAPLACE — Free check-ups, food, games and children’s activities are included in the Second Annual Health Fair being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 7 at the LaPlace Dialysis Center, located at 2700 W. Airline Highway. Open to the public, this free community event has something to offer for the whole family.

The Second Annual Health Fair is a joint venture between Kidney Centers Metropolitan, Xavier University College of Pharmacy, St. John Health & Human Services and the St. John Parish Fire Department.

Free medical services include check-ups for diabetes, cholesterol, bone density, kidneys, BMI, blood pressure and medications (bring your bottles and list). There will also be free COVID-19 information, first aid, epi-pen demonstrations and more.

This kid-friendly event will feature face painting and a fire truck on site, as well as music and various games and prizes.
