LAPLACE — St. John Parish Parish President Jaclyn Hotard helped honor the members of the River Parishes Retired Senior & Volunteer Program during their annual luncheon and award ceremony.

St. John Volunteers Glenda Wactor and Velda Michel (in memory) clocked in the top hours. Most hours were awarded to volunteers Cathy Haydel, Sylvester Dumas, Daniel Cambre, Ron Balfour, Eddie Jouty Jr., Theresa Evans, Dora Sylvian and Robert Bourgeois.

Overall, St. John volunteers created $719,313 in savings for the Parish.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a national service program, which works to match volunteers, age 55 and older, with local volunteer opportunities at partner agencies.
