• John the Baptist Parish will hold its first Trunk or Treat event from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at the St. John Community Center, located at 2900 Highway 51 in LaPlace. For more information, please contact the St. John Parish President’s Office at 985-652-9569.
• First Baptist Church of LaPlace will host a Community Trunk or Treat from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at 120 Ormond Boulevard in LaPlace. This event will feature free food, music, prizes and games. Costumes are optional.
