The St. John the Baptist Parish Council meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 has been cancelled in the best interest of the Public, the Administration and the Council and in compliance with Governor Edwards’ general stay-at-home order.

The release sent by Council Chair, Lennix Madere, also reminds residents that while the Parish offices are closed to the public, Council staff are still available to assist residents by phone or email during regular operating hours at 985-652-1702 or through email at council@stjohn-la.gov.  “Let’s follow the guidelines of the CDC in our fight to flatten the curve in abating the spread of this virus. We ask our residents to be safe, knowledgeable and vigilant,” said Madere.
