RESERVE — River Parish Community Theatre has moved its summer production dates of “Matilda” to July 24 – July 26 and July 29 – Aug 1. Further information regarding auditions will be forthcoming.

“Given the current suggested restrictions and mandates by the CDC and our government, it would be socially irresponsible to confirm auditions without having an absolute assurance that our staff and the people auditioning will be as safe as possible,” said RPCT board president Sean Roussel.

“This isn’t something we are taking lightly and there just isn’t enough information available right now about the continued spread of the virus for us to risk the health of those involved. We will make an announcement via all our social media pages and our website as soon as we are certain of audition dates, times, and procedures.”

Roussel said the community theatre organization is considering closed, small group auditions if that is the prudent path forward but stresses no decisions have been made to move or change the process of the auditions yet.

Auditions are currently scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 30 – April 2 at St. Peter School in Reserve. RPCT urges people to monitor the website and social media pages to stay informed regarding any changes.
