St. Charles Borromeo Church would like to invite everyone to its fifth annual St. Joseph Altar and meal presented by the St. Joseph Altar Society. All are welcome to honor St. Joseph in the Borromeo room on Thursday, March 19. The altar will be blessed after 8:15 a.m. Mass.

Viewing time for the altar will be Thursday, March 19 after 8:15 a.m. Mass and until 7 p.m. Hot meatless meals will also be served in the school cafeteria on that day from 5 to 7 pm. Cookies will be available. Donations will be accepted.

Ascension of Our Lord, located at 1900 Greenwood Dr. in LaPlace (Piovan Hall), will hold an altar blessing on March 19 after 8:30 a.m. school Mass with viewing until 8 p.m.; On March 20, viewing opens from 6 to 8 p.m. with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. On, March 21, viewing is from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Mass at 4 p.m.) On March 22, viewing is from 8 a.m. to noon. (8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masses). Italian cookies, baked goods, wine, candles, medals, rosaries and holy cards are available for a donation. Altar proceeds will be sent to Saltillo, Mexico missions in honor of deceased founding pastor, Father Benny Piovan.
