Two LaPlace juveniles arrested for residential burglary

LAPLACE–Two male juveniles, ages 15 and 16, from LaPlace were arrested for a residential burglary that occurred in January.
At about 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 28, officers responded to the 300 block of Fairway Drive in LaPlace in reference to a burglary of a residence. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the male victim who reported that several electronic items and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen from his residence. Officers observed the residence to be completely ransacked. A rear door and a window were forced open with the window screen on the ground outside the residence.
Through investigation and video surveillance in the neighborhood, officers developed the two juveniles as suspects. Based on investigation, judicial warrants were obtained and the 16-year-old was arrested Feb. 28 and transferred to the Terrebonne Juvenile Center.
The 15-year-old was arrested Feb. 29 and released to the custody of his mother.
