LAPLACE — May 22, 2020 marks the 22nd anniversary of Rainbow Chevrolet of LaPlace. The family-friendly dealership was established in 1998, when Lloyd Guillot Jr. purchased the Chevrolet franchise with a commitment to provide great service and sales of Chevrolet vehicles to the LaPlace and tri-parish area of Southeast Louisiana.
Guillot followed his father’s footsteps into the automotive new car industry and worked his way through the dealership departments of Rainbow Oldsmobile in Harvey. Learning and specializing in sales, service, finance, parts and body shop, Guillot soon became general manager. He always dreamed of having his own new car franchise.
In 1998, he learned of an opportunity with General Motors to purchase a Chevrolet franchise in LaPlace. Chevrolet and General Motors felt that Guillot’s experience, attention to detail and business acumen was perfect for their Chevrolet brand and a great fit for the community. Twenty-two years later, Rainbow Chevrolet considers itself part of the fabric of the community.
Located at 2020 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace, Rainbow Chevrolet represents a full service Chevrolet dealership offering new, certified and pre-owned vehicles sales and service. The dealership provides a great place for employees to expand their careers and enjoy their working environment.
The dealership also provides a full-service collision center that repairs all manufacturer brands.
