Sheriff Mike Tregre and several of his fellow officers recently visited Place Dubourg in LaPlace, the East Bank Senior Citizens Center in Reserve and the West Bank Senior Center in Edgard to share Christmas spirit with the young at heart. Sheriff Tregre and Santa, also known as Officers William Meyers, Jose Portillo and Lennie Valentine had a great time calling numbers for bingo and visiting with the residents. Several prizes were awarded to the bingo winners. Cookies and refreshments were served. Elves who enjoyed spending time with the residents were Nataly Mayes-Becks, Claudette Edwards and Tenika Tassin.
