Old Hwy. 51 Run scheduled for Saturday Nov. 23

MANCHAC – Gator’s Den will host the Inaugural OLD HIGHWAY 51 Half-Marathon, 10 Mile and 5K races on Saturday, Nov. 23. The races will benefit the Shantel Laniere Breast Cancer Foundation. Registration begins at 7 a.m. on race day inside the Beacon Bar & Grill next to the Gator’s Den, located at 194 Old Hwy. 51 in Manchac. All races are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.

Due to the very limited parking space at Gator’s Den, participants will be provided bus transportation from the public boat launch to Gator’s Den. The boat launch is approximately one mile north on Highway 51 across the bridge.
There will be a variety of food and beverages available on site throughout the day.
Overall winners and multiple age group awards will be given in each race (Half-Marathon, 10 Mile and 5K). Awards will also be given for race-walkers. Additionally, ALL race finishers will receive custom finisher medallions.
