Maurepas Swamp WMA grows

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC) approved a resolution adding 1,475 acres to Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area (WMA) through donation during its November meeting. Resource Environmental Solutions donated the land, located primarily in Livingston Parish.
The addition of the property will give Maurepas Swamp 119,204 acres west and south of Lake Maurepas. To see the resolution, go to wlf.louisiana.gov/action-items.
