RESERVE — Three Pomeranians from South Louisiana just got their ticket West as Pilots N Paws conducted a rescue flight out of the Port of South Louisiana Executive Regional Airport in Reserve.

Pilot Mark Griffith, a Pilots N Paws volunteer based out of Sugarland, Texas, recently flew the three dogs to Rescue Poms in Conroe, Texas.

Lisa Braud of the Port of South Louisiana Executive Regional poses with St. John Parish’s Pomeranian transport.

Pam Talley of the St. John Parish Animal Shelter; Renee Yeaton of the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter; and Kevin Roussel of Rescue Me Animal Society in Denham Springs each transported one of the trio from their respective shelters to the airport Friday afternoon.

Mark and Terri Vernado organized the transport, and the Pilots N Paws mission is supported by volunteers from around the country.
