RESERVE — Katelyn Gulotta, daughter of Will and Maria Stelly of Reserve and Shannon and Joe Demmick of New Iberia, has been selected as one of the Top 10 Semi-Finalists for Chicago the Musical’s #thesearchforroxie.

Kate has had a love for performing for others since she was a little girl. She made her first debut on the stage at St. John Theatre at 8 years old, starring as 1 of the 3 Little Pigs. As her love for the stage grew, so did her roles and her territory. From New Iberia to New Orleans, she appeared on stage as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Reno Sweeny in Anything Goes, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, and Roxie in Chicago. She also starred as Grace in River Parish Community Theatre’s box office hit “Annie.”

Katelyn Gulotta found a love for performing on stage in St. John the Baptist Parish productions.

St. John the Baptist Parish residents have seen Kate perform at many special community events. She is currently enjoying performing as a Victory Belle at the World War II Museum.

Being part of #thesearchforroxie presents the opportunity of a lifetime for Kate to go to New York City as a finalist to audition for Broadway.

In order to advance to one of the top 3 finalists spots and be flown to New York City for an in-person audition, she needs the community’s help.

The top three will be determined by a public vote. Voting is open now through Friday, November 8; when voting ends, the three girls with the most votes will be the top three finalists. One vote per email address is permitted.
