St. John election night results

LAPLACE – Soon after the closing of polling places at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, the office of Louisiana Secretary of State, Kyle Ardoin, began posting unofficial results for all races throughout the state. All races below have 100% of absentee votes counted and ll precincts reporting (except where noted).
Incumbents losing their seats in this election were Councilman at Large Division A, Larry Sorapuru and District 2 Councilwoman, Julia Remondet.
Only two local races are headed for a run-off next month. Without any vote-getters receiving the 50 percent threshold, Parish Councilman at Large Division B and Parish Council District 4 races are headed for run-offs on Nov.16.
