LaPlace — Screenings of the Mother’s Day Bus Crash documentary, produced by New Orleans filmmaker Royd Anderson, will be held today (Saturday) in St. John the Baptist Parish libraries.
A noon screening will be held at the Norris J. Millet Sr. branch in LaPlace.
A 4:30 p.m. showing follows at the Reserve branch.
Last month marked the 20th anniversary of the infamous Mother’s Day Bus crash, which remains the worst vehicular accident in Louisiana history.
There were 22 fatalities, including a large number of River Parishes seniors who resided at Place Du Bourg.
Royd’s documentary includes local voices of family members who recounted the tragedy.
