Photo Feature: Officer rescues seagull after car strike

St. John Sheriff’s Office deputy John Norsworthy saw an injured seagull fly into the side of a moving vehicle then fall onto Belle Terre Boulevard in LaPlace. The seagull was stunned and sustained leg and hip injuries. Norsworthy took the bird to a local veterinary clinic for medical treatment. Thanks to Dr. Jennifer Crawford of Riverlands Animal Hospital for treating the seagull.
