LAPLACE — Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church is hosting a St. Joseph Altar Blessing & Viewing for the public in Piovan Parish Hall.

Patrons can enter through the gate in the church parking lot.

Blessing of the St. Joseph Altar in Piovan Parish Hall follows the 8:30 a.m. School Mass March 15.

Viewing follows the blessing until 3 p.m. It reopens for viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m.

On March 16, the Viewing is from noon to 5:30 p.m. Mass is at 4 p.m.

On March 17, the Viewing is from 8 a.m. to noon. Masses are at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

The Tupa-Tupa will begin follows a 10:30 a.m. Mass.

A meatless meal prepared and served by the Knights of Columbus Council #9623 and Bereavement Ministry Members following the Tupa-Tupa.

Donations for the meatless meal help support local seminarians.

On March 18, viewing for PSR classes is from 6 to 7 p.m.

The St. Joseph Altar at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church is dedicated to church parishioners that have been called home by the Lord.

All proceeds will be sent to the Saltillo, Mexico missions in honor of deceased founding pastor Fr. Benny Piovan.

Italian cookies, baked goods, wine, candles, medals, rosaries and holy cards are available for a donation.
