GRAMERCY — Jason Georgi, 38, of Metairie was arrested Monday in St. James Parish after Louisiana State Police linked the motorist to an Interstate 10 crash that left 24-year-old Breanna Frazier of Baton Rouge dead.
Georgi was booked into the St. James Parish Prison for negligent homicide, negligent injuring and following too close.
The initial investigation by State Police revealed the crash occurred as Georgi was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 in a Hino box truck.
Westbound traffic on Interstate 10 began to slow and Georgi’s vehicle struck the rear of a Chevrolet Cruze being driven by Frazier, who sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the St. James Parish Coroner’s Office.
Georgi was not injured.
