Roberto “Taco” Villarreal

Roberto “Taco” Villarreal passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, in New Orleans.
He was 60, a native of Detroit, Mich., a former resident of Reserve and a resident of Norco for the past 11 years.
Roberto was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Desert Storm and Kuwait after serving 21 years in the U.S. Army. He worked for A3M Vacuum Services of Reserve as a truck operator.
He was the beloved husband of Lorinda Hebert Villarreal; father of Robert Villarreal (Karla) and Rosie Villarreal (Ronnie); grandfather of Holly Villarreal, Robert Villarreal, Diego Villarreal, Rebecca Villarreal, Diante Villarreal, Andrew Banda, Matthew Banda and Jailyn Banda; son of Jesusa Lopez Villarreal and the late Alfredo Villarreal; brother of Diana V. Parizon, Freddy Villarreal, Alicia V. Bagby and the late Connie V. Stafford, Edwardo Villarreal; and brother-in-law of Craig Hebert (Jennifer) and Lori Zeringue Ortis (John).
He is lso survived by nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Friday, Sept. 1 from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 2 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St. in LaPlace from 10 until 11 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Interment is in St. John Memorial Garden Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors.
