Ascension of Our Lord School celebrates successes

- Fr. Walter Austin and Principal Toni Ruiz awarded trophies to students who earned Christian Citizenship for the second nine weeks, including, front row, from left, Drew Arceneaux, Kylie Levet, Emma Keddy, Julia Clement, Khloe Tregre, middle row, Jacob Lewis, Michael Bates, Luke Ponville, Amaya Dew, Gideon Marix, back row, Barry Cummins, Kharma Creecy, Brianna Loescher and Aimee Dauenhauer. Evan Roussell is not pictured. A trophy was presented to students from each homeroom whose actions displayed their Christian values.

Fifth grader Katherine Bergeron has been selected as AOL’s Student of the Year. Katherine has attended AOL since preschool and serves as an altar server. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA while being active in the 4H Club, Girl Scouts, volleyball, basketball and softball. Katherine is the daughter of Deidre and Chris Bergeron of LaPlace. She is pictured with Principal Toni Ruiz.
