Man found dead in Hahnville; vehicle located in LaPlace sugar cane field

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified of a body on a side road near Highway 3160 in Hahnville Monday at approximately 9:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, deputies located the body of Ryan Joseph Dubuc, 20, of Metairie. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police believe Dubuc left his home in Metairie at approximately 5:30 a.m. Monday and headed to work in St. Charles Parish.
The Sheriff’s Office announced at 8 p.m. Monday that Dubuc’s G.M.C. Sierra was located in a sugar cane field in Belle Pointe Subdivision in LaPlace.
